It's a travelodge. They are tulip but cheap. The vicar lane one is fine if you ask for a room away from the road but I don't have any expectations for £20-35.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostAm sat in the travelodge next to The Tap and Bibis right now attending some training here for a couple of days. Travelodge aren't all crap, and being cheap doesn't imply being crap. I've stayed in plenty that were clean and tidy and the rooms are often pretty big, which is all one can expect at the prices. Compared to American cheap motels they are often amazing!Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Yeah but I am paying 50 quid a night so feel royally ripped off. It's had a lick of paint recently but it's still shabby. Should have looked around. Less than 5 mins from venue so it will do.Originally posted by eek View PostIt's a travelodge. They are tulip but cheap. Do a bit of reconnassiance in the evenings; ask at local pubs if there are B&Bs they can recommend. Then when you find a good one ask for a discount for booking for a few months at a time. Usually works for me.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostYeah but I am paying 50 quid a night so feel royally ripped off. It's had a lick of paint recently but it's still shabby. That wasn't what I meant. For the money they are excellent value for money however some are in locations are not brilliant.Originally posted by d000hg View PostTravelodge aren't all crap, and being cheap doesn't imply being crap. The Leeds city centre where NLUK has been refurbished but the rooms are small, the surroundings noisy and parking is appalling. The vicar lane one has cheap parking nearby (until November parking on road was free from 6pm-8am now its 10pm-8am) but the rooms are beyond tired. however if you stay at the back it is silent unless the theatre show finished last night...
Leeds Morley is beyond grotty but Leeds Colton is great provided you are at the front or at the left hand side of the rear away from the road...merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

You need to know the Travelodge pricing model. Book very early or wait to the day itself and round about midday prices drop to their lowest price.... Leeds Colton was £48 over the weekend and at 11am yesterday. At 11:30 the price dropped to £32 so I bought.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostYeah but I am paying 50 quid a night so feel royally ripped off. As I said above I'll happily stay in either Leeds Colton or Vicar Lane so I wait to the day and book whichever is cheaper...merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

Done some googling today and found very nice serviced apartments with underground secure parking for £46/night. Much better than a Travelodge, cook myself and kick back in des resOriginally posted by northernladuk View PostYeah but I am paying 50 quid a night so feel royally ripped off.
