You know that's one thing I forgot to ask the doctor before I left (just now, if you're wondering). Though TBH with the way I'm feeling physically I don't really fancy one.Originally posted by d000hg View PostGetting back to the very start of the thread - does this mean you can at least have a bloody drink now? While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. That was going to be my next question - bad news aside how are you doing ill-wise now after they drained all that fluid? Are you feeling rough because of the cancer or because of the bum-rummaging?Originally posted by doodab View PostYou know that's one thing I forgot to ask the doctor before I left (just now, if you're wondering). I'm a bit sore from the exploratory surgery but that's healing up ok, the main physical symptoms are nausea, bloating and indigestion which make it difficult to eat in the quantities I'm used to. They have been gradually getting worse over the last few months, I actually went to the docs a month or two back and they thought it might be an ulcer and gave me medicine accordingly. The other one is sweating, especially after I eat when I find I need a cold wet cloth on my forehead, and when I'm sleeping.Originally posted by d000hg View PostThat was going to be my next question - bad news aside how are you doing ill-wise now after they drained all that fluid? When my dad was in a similar situation, he still maintained a good appetite, but was disappointed that he couldn't taste anything. That took away any enjoyment he had from eating.

Yeah, and I get hunger pangs that actually hurt as well, although I also feel a bit sick. Trouble is if I eat a whole meal it bloody hurts! So I have to graze continually.Originally posted by greenlake View PostDo you still have your sense of taste?
