Yeah hopefully. Might just be a secondary infection, apparently the fluid is perfect for growing microbes. They are draining it now, so I should lose about a stone today.

Well I had my first ever go under the surgeons knife yesterday, bit disconcerting but I feel much better now they've drained some of the fluid off. Next week I get to have a general so they can biopsy my liver and sundry unidentified lumps.

Could be loads of things. Cirrhosis and cancer of some description are the most likely.

Just when they had me fooled that they were all unfeeling barstewards with no sense of empathy for anyone ( oh boy am I gonna be in trouble now )

Turns out my liver is fine.

Shame about the cancerous lumps. Hopefully they'll know where it started soon.
