    I really wish we all got a vote. It would be so funny if Scotland voted No as the rest of the country voted Yes....

      And would the Englishman do the right thing and realise this is not about an identity competition.

      This is about regional governance that can make a difference for those living in the region unlike a distance group locked in a far away city.

        If it's about regional governance then Scotland doesn't need to be independent.

          Is it not? I think that many of the average scots people think it is - they simply hate the english for some reason I have never been able to fathom.

            Good luck with that one.
            There too expensive and over complicated, especially for a small country. A couple of excel sheets will do.

              Why bother - they won't win the referendum

                It's looking more and more like you're right. The polls are pointing to a rejection.

                  How else might it control taxes without independence? Even still the state needs to be shrunk. It's out of proportion given the size. If those changes were made without independence the country would in effect become independent by default.

                  Whatever the outcome even a blind man can see more power being devolved to Edinburgh.

                    There's bigots on both sides. I don't care to listen to them.

                      I agree that the state is too big, and if Mr Salmond and his SNP chums were to phone Dave Cameron for a chat, the whole of the UK could have a smaller state, lower taxes and a reformed benefit system with money that's wasted on admin being spent on childcare to help more families into work. Your arguments have suddenly turned conservative. I think I know where you might find sympathy for a lot of what you're saying;

                      Lovely crowd of people, interestingly they're slightly more sober than Conservatives Abroad.
