If you are going to accuse others of getting personal as in another thread maybe you should restrain yourself a bit. This case arouses strong feelings in everyone.

They have put themselves out in the public eye a lot, no one forced them to. They didnt need to in order to find the child because they obviously have a lot of influence to get such huge resources put into the investigation when plenty of other cases do not. They even had Cameron making statements virtually ordering a reopening of the investigation, who else gets that?
This thread is going round in circles now so I'll bow out.

So what would you do if it was your child ? like your fellow jury members you seem to think that they have some sort of duty of care to you that they should keep a stiff upper lip?

I reckon they should say that if you leave kids unattended they get taken by nonces. Although twunts like you will never listen - kids are just another chattel.

I reckon they should say that if you leave kids unattended they are extremely unlikely to get taken by nonces even though the constant hysteria and self-righteous outpourings of parents who have never made a mistake would make you suspect otherwise .

I just watched the program. Before I watched this I had little knowledge of the details of the evening she was abducted. I can now see why they might have felt it OK to leave the kids alone as the other couples they dined with did it and they all checked regularly on them. I also saw Kate McCann say she persecuted herself for years over the decision. I could now say I might have done the same thing if I was in the same position given it was the done thing and there was a routine to check on them.

If her parents had been present she wouldn't have been abducted/sleepwalked and died in a ravine.

There was a rather interesting program on BBC1 on Sunday that showed a female Eider Duck defending her brood against a Seagull.
She put up a very good fight, only losing one of her two ducklings to the predator.
If she hadn't been sat on her nest guarding her offspring she'd have lost both.
