Been in a regime pretty much all year which has got a bit more serious lately.
Hired a personal trainer who makes me keep a food diary and weighs me and measures body fat % every Friday morning. Initially had good results then plateau'd a bit. He seems to frown at just about everything - even fruit...
Mrs is suffering from acid reflux so she's on a healing diet which I've joined in on and started losing again which is nice. It's very restrictive and dinner every night is pretty much some fish with salad.
Been off the sauce for 2 1/2 years now and picked up 5 kung fu (wing chun) belts since. This is really more of a general lifestyle change than a temporary diet or regime.
Getting rid of that last bit of belly fat at age 40 is quite a challenge - but doable. Doing a lot of intense cardio (HIIT) and weight (muscle) gain as well as weird and wonderful kettlebell swinging/jumping up and down/vipr training with PT... It's really down to the food though, one bad slip up and a week's worth of training is negated. Horribly unfair but that's the way it is...
Can start posting up weekly number here if anyone's interested? Weight I'm expecting to go up/stay the same due to muscle increase but fat % I want to go down. Not sure how reliable the machine at my gym is for that though... I'm told the only way to really measure body fat is to be immersed in a tank of water?
I'm naturally skinny as well, just picked up a bit of a spare tyre during my wild years.. Mostly gone now just the last bit to go which is stubborn as *&$%...
