All to do with the speed you loose weight apparently, you do it too quickly then you end up with huge folds of skin. I suppose it depends on quite how lardy you are in the first place.

          It gets easier.

I have a friend who was 17.8 and 5'10". He had a triple bypass last year. I persuaded him to start cycling. The first we did together was on level ground, along a canal, and after 15 miles, of gentle cycling, he was completely spent. That was 8 months ago. He completed a 100 mile ride along an up and down course after 3 months, and his training ride are 50 miles with no issues. You'll be surprised how quickly it comes.

I put on hardly anything while pregnant.... less than 7lbs in all. Which was bloody amazing even if I do say so myself. My problem has been Maternity leave too much free time and too many chocolate biscuits

Was OK with the first. Second and third were both 9lb+ and I was bleedin' enormous. I fear my bikini days are over.

                Weekly summary :-

I did not want to post last week as in my first week I put on 2kg despite almost staring myself! I can only think its muscle. This week I have dropped 1kg so that is good.

Training this week was good until yesterday. Then got a heavy cold/mild flu so training is at bear minimum. At least my appetite is zero.

The abu dhabi international triathlon has got 10 spaces for those who have inspirational stories (free entry, flights, hotel) so Mrs BP has applied for me due to my disabled kids and fundraising efforts. Its at end of Feb and I am desperate to compete alongside world champions! Dallas said she will lend me her bike bag and even dismantle it for me in exchange for Sunday lunch! I will have to beg a mechanic at the other end to put it back together!

Last week I was thinking of entering the double on 1st JUne rather than end Sep but the illness has put me off.

Any good stories to cheer me up would be great please!

                Thanks
                BP

Changed my regime from 2 13 miles during the week and a 20+ run at the weekend to a 12 mile interval run every second day, highlight is a 3.5 k uphill section.

                  It is killing me.

Its a funny thing is exercise and it being healthy for you. If it is so healthy why did men who had traditionally manual jobs have such poor life expectancy? Yet my Gran who has had the most lazy life ever is still going and heading towards 90. The most exercise she does is changing the tv channel or putting the kettle on.

Funny you should say that, every time I start to lose weight / get fit do I get a massive cold or flu. Not a coincidence in my opinion.
