The CoE doesn't have an exemption allowing it to opt out of performing same-sex marriages; it has an exclusion preventing it from opting in.

yes. so Muslims are not being forced to opt in. so why are they kicking up a fuss? Catholics don't seem bothered.

Ah, ok, I didn't see that, I just thougth they were being given the option not to do it.

I think it's wrong anyway. There was this case for the christian couple not allowing a same sex unmarried couple to sleep together, which was illegal, but when they refused to allow an unmarried hetrosexual couple to share a bed, it was fine.

Something seems truly odd about what is happening at the moment

Would this include say ladies only taxi's, car insurance, etc. or Saga offering products to certain age groups

In some cases it makes good sense for example where the customer felt at less risk.

I am still miffed however that I can now go on a Saga holiday but can never go on a Club 18-30 (unless it is based on stone and not age)

With regards to someones sexuality? I would be very surprised if this were true. I think when it comes down to a persons sexuality, there are rules strictly preventing it. I can understand mens/females only, I can see whre age bands could be used, but not sexuality. Sage, for instance, couldn't ban homosexuals from going on a cruise, nor could 18-30. In fact, I think for the later, a few lesbians about would make for the whole 9 yards of a bawdy holiday. But I am quite convinced you couldn't no homosexuals.

Does anyone have any examples? I can't think of one at the moment.

As for gay adoption, it's like giving out cars to people that can't drive.

Duno but I thought discrimination laws were equal for sexuality, race, gender and religion and you can certainly get special exemption for the latter two AFAIK.
