What an odd assertion. Why have you had your fertility tested if you've not planned to have kids? Wouldn't you just assume everything was in working order till proven otherwise? I can only speculate you're either a sperm donor, or have some Cliphead juice frozen for insurance purposes? Which is it?

My neighbours have adopted 2 kids (as babies). They had to jump through loads of hoops, a real nightmare process. I can't imagine their determination to want to bring up kids - all I had to do was the mrs, they had to prove themselves to be 'worthy individuals' to the social workers. I think the Glastonbury parking sticker in the front of his car was a genius bit of theatre

A neighbouring couple did the foster family thing several times. After a string of successes, they were asked to prove their working class credentials for the next one.

Didn't want kids until a few years into living with my partner and his wee ones. Also only doing it now because I know from experience that he's a more than involved dad. With the average male, I'd have never considered reproduction.
I'm not the mommy-type.

Don't mean to be negative but with all the uncertainty in life and with the decline in Europe / Britain in all facets of life I made a judgement to not have kids.

I'd like to have kids but I wouldn't like them to grow up in London. Also I'm not a millionaire (yet) and wouldn't want to have the kids disadvantaged by not being to give them the best of everything (and I don't mean being spoilt I mean education, activities, holidays etc).

So that sums up my sad outlook on these things.

Three miscarriages with my first serious partner ended that dream, never did get around to it after that. I still feel the pain.

I always wanted kids, but my wife had a series of miscarriages, and then two ectopics resulting in her tubes being removed. We tried IVF a couple of times but they didn't take. Still hurts me too, but my wife more as she not only feels her own pain, but also feels guilty for me. As I said to her the other night, I've accepted that our life is what it is, but it doesn't help her much.

We got that! Is it any wonder there is a lack of foster parents? Will no-one think of the children?

Friends of ours got that with IVF. The moment they stopped trying she got pregnant! Stress stops pregnancy. Try having sex (once every 3 days) and just having fun!
