I would do 2 things if I were SasGuru
1. I would realise that you mine a seam and milk a cow.
2. I would call the nanny in and say 'You are a cretin, HTH BIDI'. and see how that approach pans out in real life
3. I would accept that I am an old lonely foolish scrote

Retired and not looking after your own child, that is fatherhood?
Look after YOUR lad yourself. As least then you can't blame someone else for his crap upbringing and lack of relationship with his parents, and mother/father issues.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

Keep working. Inflation is coming. The only thing thats really inflation proof is your career.Originally posted by sasguru View PostI have a choice - retire fully now and make some compromises (we would be comfortable) or work part time (especially as my skills are in high demand at the mo) and accumulate some more.
After a few months of being bored I'm gagging for the latter TBH - far too young to retire really and my other interests aren't grabbing me full time.Comment
