I have to admit that I have a few tattoos some of which are extremeley faded now and I can't be bothered to have a touch up. One I don't like too much but it doesn't bother me too much, one of these days I might do something about it and one is actually pretty good in that photos were taken when it was done by the studio and used for a magazine. Hardly anyone sees them, unless I take my balaclava off or wear my favourite wife beater.

Oh I see. This is one of those "I spat the dummy, now I'll pretend the provoker has also spat the dummy". Very good.
Anyway, tattoos are only tasteful if done with chocolate or raspberry flavoured ink.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

And, let me get this right, you're still of the opinion that it's only people with tattoos that get touchy when you deliberately provoke them, is that right?

I think everyone's entitled to their opinion also. It's the mistaken belief that other people are entitled to their opinions too that leads some people into trouble.Originally posted by farout117 View PostSeems like we are in a minority here Gentile.

I think it's a daft to say that people with tattoos get unusually annoyed if you criticise their choices for their own body; what do people who do that expect to happen? As just demonstrated, people get annoyed whenever they perceive they're being criticised, particularly if the criticism is unsought and comes from someone that doesn't appear to have the insight that would be necessary for the criticism to be meaningful.
As I said earlier, it's like those people who say "cheer up, it might never happen
"* : presumptuous and meaningless.
* On the subject of which, incidentally, I was standing in a queue in Glasgow waiting for a taxi once, and there was a security guard outside Central Station that was foisting that particular nugget of advice on every third passer-by or so. After about the tenth time he trotted it out, it'd lost its charm for most of us standing there in the rain waiting for our cabs. Then one guy he inadvisedly tried it on decked him and kept on walking. An old lady from the queue went up to him, and instead of asking him if he was alright as we'd expected, she just said "you deserved that you know, son". Lesson: don't use that trite line in Glasgow.
