Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

The thing about tattoos is that they fade and discolour with time and eventually look tulip, also when the body has changed after a lifetime of pies and lager they really look tulip.

And I notice that there is tattoo fashion, was Asian writing for a while, then stupid Mauri swirls. Why would you want to select something that you will wear for the rest of your life because it is 'in' that year? That is like getting a new shell suit in the 80s and grafting it onto yourself.

My tattoo is a simple black on white which can be touched up, its on a part of my body (forearm) I can cover up if I need to and show off when I want to, most importantly it means a lot to me and will never go out of fashion because it wasn't inked because it was in fashion!

                  WHS +1

Both mine have a special meaning to me which will never change. Some put it in stone, others put it in ink

Any writing is a bad idea, but to google translate something profound into Arabic or Chinese means you're likely to end up with the recipe for wonton soup on your arm.

My personal hate is tattoos of the names and DOB's of your kids. It's not something you'd expect to forget is it?

I have a half-sleeve of Japanese style flowers on one arm, which is not visable during normal day-2-day activities. Even if it was I don't think it would offend anyone.

Each to their own and all that.

                      Not for me though.

I have some friends with, quite frankly, ludicrous tatoos including:

                      - Tazmanian devil on his arse (yes, he showed us, in the changing rooms!)
                      - Tweety bird on his arse (theme started here, different guy, same team)
                      - musician friend - loads of rock singers names in small print on his forearm

but then, who am I to judge? At least those guys might be unique, not the standard jaggy bicep type thousands of guys have.
