Are tattoos tasteful?

Tattoos are for chavs. It's symptomatic of the gradual chavification of UK culture that tattoos are slowly achieving acceptability.
On a side note I've found it an almost infallible rule that the more outrageous a person's personal appearance whether it be tattoos, clothing or whatever, the duller and less accomplished they are.

In the technical world maybe. But lots of professional people in the more arty world have them... if you were hiring a graphic designer you have to see past the skinny jeans and Apple tattoos

And tattoos are normally associated with the working classes, not chavs. The two are very different.

I'm struggling to think of anything David Beckham has accomplished apart from being a reasonably competent but not great footballer.
And would you want to have any sort of a conservation lasting more than a minute with an airhead cretin like him - or his wife come to that?

I don't care if people have tattoos or not - I just assume they're a bit dodgy/dull/boring if they do. I'm rarely proved wrong.
