When's it murder and when't it manslaughter? Clearly starting a fire endangers lives, but I assume, if it was the parents, they didn't actually intend for the kids to die?

The distinction isn't clear cut. If you deliberately commit a crime that might reasonably be thought to endanger life, and someone died - then it's murder.

So saying someone is an idiot for burning his house with his kids inside is somehow trampling on the memory of his kids? Maybe you need to do the gene pool a favor and have a bath with a toaster.

I can think of a very long list of things this guy is (presuming he's found guilty), Idiot would be quite a long way down it though...

I cannot believe that a parent would light a petrol fulled fire in their house with the kids in it.
