Why women should leave men who are violent the first time

Having read his posts he did not advocate violence against women he actually afforded them the respect that they should not feel or behave as if they are victims.
We men should also be allowed the freedom to say that women are highly manipulative game players which compensates for their lack of physical power .

Wim always makes out that we ignore the other victims of domestic abuse, racism, sexism etc and then starts going on about how put on upon certain men are i.e. the group he belongs to.

He forgets that if we as a society can't deal with the people who make up the majority of the victims there is little chance we will deal with other incidents.

In the case of domestic violence there are a whole load of victims who are normally ignored and not taken seriously not just men. Though in those cases people don't tend to laugh they just pretend to not hear.

The notion of equality is meaningless nonsense. It is also lazy in how it crudely sums up an ideal of what we in society should be aiming for.

You still don't get it - Equality doesn't mean the same.

It merely means giving people an equal chance of being able to do/participate in whatever regardless of socio-economic background, ethnicity, religion etc.

Wims point was never to approve of violence it was to say that women are not always (in the case of the Rochdale incident where they were victims) the innocents that people make them out to be.

Lots of the victims in the Rochdale case were children.

Regardless due to the sh*t background they came from they were easy to exploit.

His mistake was probably in not making his points on a post that was about violence against women- because you women have hysterically put two and two together and made five.

Men that hit women are invariably cowards who feel empowered by bullying and abusing those weaker than themselves, and are more often than not, child abusers too.

I was with you Sue, until that line there - A lot of people on this forum get excited and write offensive things in General, DA included and I hope not, but probably me too.

I've not posted on this one as its a bit dangerous, but you're completely right, how is it that everyone's making such huge sweeping statements and generalisations.

Domestic Violence is awful, and its not always on women either, look at New Zealands interesting background on fighting it.

Its not right, and totally unacceptable no matter who its against.

I had a female friend years ago (I'm not allowed them anymore ) and she was a victim, but did always go back - through pure love and commitment. I both respected and resented her behaviour at the same time.

Thankfully now, after the lads beat the tulip out of him - he split up with her and shes happily married to a lovely guy who's a copper. I still think that, without our intervention "gangster style" she'd be seriously hurt by now...
