In my opinion, wim's spoutings are mostly laughable.

However, when the bile is spewed against a real person, whether it be the lady in this case, or Nat's friend who was killed on her bike, it becomes really nasty, bordering on criminal.

To speculate that this poor woman may have been a drunken slapper, and may have behaved violently towards her assailant in the past is absolutely out of order. There is nothing to suggest this was the case, so why even go there? I'm sure that if she was violent, this would have been brought out in mitigation in the court, and reported in the news. Most women don't behave this way, and there's not one iota in the news coverage to suggest that she did. A bit of googling reveals the man has been banned from all local pubs for violent behaviour and could turn from pleasant to violent in the blink of an eye.

Yes, being very serious, and the worst in a long line of things she did to me. We used to laugh about it down the pub, in the cricket team. But I often think that if the boot was on the other foot, I'd be in jail.

Mad as a hatter, but in her defence, if there is one, is the fact I wasn't the best and most reliable boyfriend, and used to drive her mad.

Not too sure why you put 0/10, for this is as true a story as you'll hear anywhere.

She lost the plot once when I refused to go away as planned, as I wanted to take my land rover, and I needed to fit free wheeling hubs. I was under neath the front end, and she started lowering the jack on me. Slightly unhinged yes. But I maintain, if I had struck her once, I would had the police all over me.

Only if she'd reported it. Did you report her to the police?

Nothing criminal at all. I hate cyclists that disobey the law/highway code. They are the ones that get mowed down, so they fail to get any sympathy off me, good riddance.

The case wasn't about what happened throughout their relationship, it was the attack in question. For the fifth or six time now, I said it was a henious horrible attack.

However you or I havent had a looking glass against their relationship, you don't know her personally, etc etc. You have no idea on what has led up to this at all. All you have is biased news reports painting her as a saint. No one is a saint.

Yes they do. However you wouldn't experience this unless you're bi-sexual.

Are you seriously trying to say that women arent argumentative, violent or wilful in relationships and they all act like lapdogs? Everyone knows you're spewing tulip out of your mouth.

The news articles arent covering the past few years of her life, just this attack. A newspaper or even court case, does not give you a realistic bearing on someones entire life.

To help clarify this for your small mind, here is an example: Around here a while back, a guy was mowed down in a hit and run. Everyone said in the papers how terrible it was and portrayed this guy as super dad. The reality however to people that knew him locally was he couldnt keep his penis in his pants and played his part in breaking up many homes and really was a pig.

But newspapers arent going to say:
                - Man in RTA, but he was a pig, so good riddance

Even if you shout at a female partner, you can be hauled away as it is seen by the bacon patrol as intimidation.

However she can shout at you, slap you, or in your case, lower a multi-tonne vehicle on top of you without fearing any consequences. Lovely and fair, huh !?

Unless she has a weapon and is intent on harming someone, and then only as an aid to disarm her, a gentleman never ever hits a woman, be she a Lady or not.

                    There is no other excuse.

Restrain her or Walk away. call the police, that's what they are there for.

Men that hit women are invariably cowards who feel empowered by bullying and abusing those weaker than themselves, and are more often than not, child abusers too.
Some abusers do have mental health issues or are of low intellect, some have open or latent homosexual tendencies, all are to be pitied as well as despised, because they will never be true men but only pale shadows of inadequacy.

Well, you be glad to hear that the police investigation showed that my friend didn't disobey the law nor the local equivalent of the highway code, that it was entirely the fault of the truck driver not paying due care and attention, so are now permitted to be sympathetic.
