Hiroshima was attacked on the 6th, so up until that point the mayor's of any Japanese cities would not have been desperately concerned about Atom bombs. When I was a kid, the father of a lad who lived near me fought the nips in the war.
All this lad ever wanted to play was war, and if there weren't enough kids to play that, he'd hole himself up in the woods nearby to ambush japs if they came past. I last saw him when I was about 11. Perhaps he's still there.Comment
