Is there anything more weak-minded and meaningless than having "faith"?

Also, according to Wikipedia, Ancient Greece began 800BC and the first real Greeks were only as far back as 2000BC, at most. Still a long, long, way after Moses.

You're really running on empty now aren't you... not even pretending to make sense?
No I think you are mixing Greeks with Catholics.

There is no evidence that Moses even existed never mind when, unless you have proof? Though not.

By nature, children and humans are intrinically selfish and self centred. You only only have to look at a toddler to see that. Feed me, want this know, mine mine.

It is moral guidance that teaches children to become better adults in most cases. Where there is no guidance, where there are morals you are left with the feral proles that grow up to stab and rape each other in the worse sink estates in the UK? So, is that your background or did something else happen to draw you along the 'straight and narrow'?
Ducking this one hey Kandr? Mmmm. Sockie behaviour to a tricky one.

I think I disagree - people are by nature self (or tribe, and therefore self) interested. The idea of doing good for others outside of your self interest would not have spontaneously developed without religion.

To say "just bunches of people" is to dismiss the idea of a bunch of people working together as worthless which I don't think is correct at all.

You really don't know much about this.

If I were you, I'd go and spend some time in the library. Perhaps doing my GSCE revision.

Catholicism was founded several centuries BC? Interesting.

Historians can't decide if Moses is real or not, but there are references to him in many texts. Maybe you should give the historians a phone call and let them know you've solved it.

Humans have empathy its an evolved emotion that lets us to see ourselves in others shoes, this is missing in is people who are sociopaths etc.

I can understand how a lot of you deluded fools hadn't realised that and who think bad people are possesed by demons etc. and that we were all murdering each other until Moses read out the 10 commandments

This is fun, so easy like shooting fish in a barrel.

I think you are out of your depth pal, you are sounding like a mentally retarded person who wandered into an Oxford debate on religion and started making random mutterings. Make a point rather than school girl level insults of get lost.

                  Really?

I think you'll find that it is not an innate emotion. I think you will find it's nurture over nature. That concept of nurture comes from a set of common goals & boundries that in turn form religous doctrine.

I believe that your fascination with rape is probably a bastardization or misinterpretation of those rules that you may have missed out on or rebelled against?

                  Have you ever had councilling?

Simple kindnesses like someone giving a stranger a drink of water or some food, or tending to their wounds, are the essence of charity. People seem to do this naturally so I think "organised charity" is a natural progression for any society which has spare resources.

I made my point to you earlier. You are a bigot, or worse a hypocrite.
