I hate single rooms. Just means a much smaller room usually. I'll pay the extra for single occupancy double room if its not too much.

I've had single rooms in the past so small where the door bangs the bed when you open it.

      Setting off smoke alarms.

Toasters in Premier Inn rooms set off the smoke alarm, everybody out.

        hotelscombined.co.uk - top site.

Found room tomorrow night for £21. Executive room 4 star hotel. Via Ebookers. Think it was a mistake because it closed off pretty quick but I got the booking confirmed. Bargain.

I've found a few ones like this using this site though in the past. Always seems to be a bit cheaper via these too.

The PI "smoke" detectors used to be triggered by steam, so if some early riser had a shower with the bathroom door open it was off to the car park in jimjams for everyone

I think they've replaced them with better ones these days, as I no longer see the signs on the bathroom doors warning about it.

Nope. All good last night. £21 pre-paid. Decent 4* hotel. Bargain.

Didn't bother with brekkie for £20 though. Sod that. Bacon/Sausage baguette and OJ from Greggs for £3.20.
