I know what I like in my food, nothing pretentious about it.
I have been to a lot better family run bakers than Greggs, often they provide better value for money too.The Chunt of Chunts.Comment

Not fair to compare them to family run bakers (as I do agree there) but 2 quid for a fresh bacon roll and a coffee?, cant be bad, and its one of the better bacon rolls I've had, prefer it to the overpriced cardboard tasting tat served by the likes of Leon and Pod and other 'hipster' joints that have sprung up over the last few years.Originally posted by MrMarkyMark View PostToo easy, if you are trying to say I'm a snob

Nothing wrong with skipping breakfast at the hotel and getting a £2 bacon roll and coffee from greggs. It enables you to get to site sooner, and avoids having to site having breakfast with all the other suitsOriginally posted by MrMarkyMark View PostToo easy, if you are trying to say I'm a snob

I must admit I haven't tried the bacon rolls, I will have to ask the old man.Originally posted by SlipTheJab View PostNot fair to compare them to family run bakers (as I do agree there) but 2 quid for a fresh bacon roll and a coffee?, cant be bad, and its one of the better bacon rolls I've had, prefer it to the overpriced cardboard tasting tat served by the likes of Leon and Pod and other 'hipster' joints that have sprung up over the last few years.
Can't stand the sausage rolls, however.
The best one I have had recently was at a café in Bristol, they used, both, back and streaky bacon, which is what I like to do at home
As for those two particular places, you have mentioned, I would tend to agree, overpriced and over rated.
Anyway, not going to say any more, the lynch mob are gathering
