Bad luck. Sounds like you have a short notice period... I've not had a contract terminated early (been fired as a permie though), do they go through the same permie-style process or just say "bye"?

Sorry it went pear shaped, but you didn't seem to be enjoying it anyway. So enjoy the bench time with the family and best of luck with the next gig.

No, it's just a business to business contract after alll. No money = no work = no contract. Simples.

True. I get to spend time with new baby!!!! Awesome. That is a huge plus.

Warchest is not what it could be. I just bought a new house to move the family into. Couple of months tops.

Wait tills he's taller than you. I told him - it's not big and it's not clever... I tell you what, when they're approaching 18, and you've brought them up correctly - you don't want them to go. Manipulative gits that they are...

I know. Sam is 5 and still hugs daddy. Alfie as 2 and would not hug daddy even if you paid him. Freddie (baby) is as yet unknown. I do not force hugs on anyone.

Alfie is coming round to the idea of a speed hug.

Lots of footage to collect on bench time.

Yikes. Remind us what you do?

Kiss the blarney stone, make sure the horseshoe is the right way up, stroke your black cat backwards while walking upside down siging a George Forby song.

Sorry to hear that, but you'll be fine. Take a little "family" time off, a good idea plus mega brownie points. Have a couple of weeks off, kick back, maybe skill up in this months 'must have', make some more of those outrageous curries and and enjoy life for what it is; a short time within which to have fun and actually live instead of work, work, work. You'll be back in the rat race before you know it.

                      Cheers!
