Of course, we must make room for the complete morons. You know - total idiots, who just accept all that their teachers tell them, without a modicum of critical faculty. So, lets try to make it clear.

      Israel has done bad things.
There are Jews who live in Israel, who think that what has been done to the Palestinians isn't right.
There are Jews living outside of Israel who think what has been done to the Palestinians isn't right.

There are Muslims who hate the Jews, more than they care about the Palestians, and will use the Israeli injustices to validate their hatred.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

        True.

The test that I apply to this complex situation however is this - given that Israel has got overwhelming military power and nukes, but it does not use it to whipe out open enemies around, if those enemies were in the position of Israel would they have wiped them out totally? To me the answer so far is yes rather than no, so while Israel is doing pretty bad things a lot of it is forced response.

Perhaps we should have a collection in support of the Israeli's. it must cost a lot of money to expend all that ammunition.
I think we should have a "Donate a hand grenade" day for the Israeli's.
Confusion is a natural state of being

Well, BritainPLC sends the Palestinians financial aid.

Admittedly not to the same tune that the Yanks sponsor Israel...

I know it's been said before, but the "General" forum is defined as "General issues affecting and of interest to contractors."

Can anyone explain how Sandy's latest diatribe of bigotry fits that description? At best it belongs in LR; at worst it should be deleted and the OP banned.

I work with three Muslims and two Jewish contractors so maybe it’s relevant. Why do you pick on Sandy to be banned when other posters are outright bigots towards other races and countries and get away with it 100% Scot-free.

....especially when it's Southampton who are on the receiving end. But then with a chairman like ours, it's only to be expected.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

"Both Hinduism and Buddhism originated in the Indian subcontinent and share a very long, but rather
peculiar and uncomfortable relationship, which in many ways is comparable to that of Judaism and Christianity. The Buddha was born in a Hindu family, just as Christ was born in a Jewish family."

Hinduism and Buddhism are like Shia and Shiite in Islam, different interpretations, I perhaps was wrong to use "Buddhism" as collective religion meaning all those that are variations of it, not sure what the right word like Islam would have united different parts into one, perhaps you could share it from your fountain of infinite wisdom?
Hinduism is not Buddhism you feckin eejit. Buddhism is an offshoot of Hinduism taken up mainly by oriental asian countries (apart from Sri Lanka, but then not many people can explain Sri Lanka.... ). Japan practises Shinto, however when Buddhism came across to china it also started to insinuate itself into Japan as well (Not a huge shock since the countries border each other.

You will be hard pressed to find any Buddist temples in India, you will find that they are all Hindu, Muslim and Sikh. It is also worth mentioning that most Indians did not see themselves as Hindu's until foreigners came over and started describing them as such. Thier religion was just that, thier religion and the way they lived thier lives.

Hinduism as a religion is well over 4000 years old, however Buddhism is only about 1500 years old. Get your fact straight before you make a fool of yourself AtW!!!
