How do you feel about EU workers being able to move freely within the EU?

Unfortunately English is a popular second language.

I've worked with Polish people who worked around the EU before they had an unrestricted right to work in the UK and they relied on the English language to get them work in other countries.

The answer is no. "free" movement is bad.

Like all immigration, checks to ensure only the very best are allowed in. Same should apply to all EU. The dross can stay where they are.

Sometimes it's hard to debate with irrational topics. It seems that if you are not against immigration then means you approve everything. DimPrawn and Troll do seem to forget that because of immigration UK has more economic power than countries like Albania. Norway might have a low immigration but their wealth is due to natural resources not human capital. Same for Switzerland where now it seems like immigrants are the black sheep of society. Are we forgetting that it's them who built most of the country? Would DimPrawn and Troll send their children to work at Benji for 4 quid an hour? Having said that doesn't make me a left pinko communist who believes in wild immigration and that there should be some regulation and that in case it poses a threat to national security it should be limited. However it seems that if you are not a xenophobic, history and economics unsavant, then you are with the evil.

Excuse me, but please don't lump me in with Troll.

I merely have a view, that all immigration (EU included) needs to be through a thorough process of application, screening and selection, and that more people does not make a country a better place, in the same way as stuffing your living room with 100 Phd grads does not make it a more confortable living area.

Is GDP such a good a metric for prosperity when people can’t afford housing, etc, and spend this wealth vying for dwindling natural resources? We’d be better off returning to a population of hunter-gatherers, with mobile phone and Internet access of course. Though what use the latter is escapes me now.
