You believe other wise, but then at least we're still a democracy so we can both hold and make known these views.
I agree that immigration is too high and not selective enough.
Given that the NHS would collapse without immigration (a third of NHS workers are foreign born, including many of the doctors), it is clearly necessary to some extent.
    Hard Brexit now!

Your chose your name with care I see.

In that case, how does increasing our population by 10% through immigration make us "richer" as a nation, when a small population leads to greater wealth of the people?

If more is better, why don't we expand London to cover the whole UK?

You just don't see it do you?

Fewer, better educated population is the way foreward. Less is more when it comes to quality of life on a small island.

How do you feel about EU workers being able to move freely within the EU?

I couldn't agree more. Now why don't you persuade your local chavs to do a degree in nuclear physics? Or failing that just to stay in school to get a couple of GCSEs. Good luck

It doesn't make sense if some states have free services to all and others don't.

If your house was offering free accomodation, food and drink and the neighbours does not, which one are you going to "squat" in?

You are never going to level the playing field, but if you are a country/place competing for investment and wishing to attract the best skills then nor is it desirable to have a level playing field.

So what's your answer to my question then DP?

I agree on your first point, selection is the key, although just as important are the rules, regulations etc regarding dependants.

It always amazes me that the rich loser who gets a wife in BKK is less likely to her into the UK, than the 56 dependants of an indian Doctor.

The answer is no. "free" movement is bad.

Like all immigration, checks to ensure only the very best are allowed in. Same should apply to all EU. The dross can stay where they are.

Why would an Indian doctor have 56 dependents?
