Get an argument and discuss like a grown-up. I am quite willing to consider any feasible explanation for the 10 million that are conservatively predicted to be added to our already crowded Island gathering. Any ideas, at all?

Sorry but before you sign the contract you have to read what's written in it.
If only it were as simple as that, Italy is facing problems with a large influx of Romanian peasants. No one knows who they are, so I am afraid that as part of free movement there does need to be some facility for checking who these people are as if they were locally born and bred.

I actually think that these things have a habit of balancing themselves out, provided there are proper restrictions on non EU workers (such as the horrendous system whereby Indian companies can make easy transfers between India and the UK - I think it is called "insourcing") then when one country or city gets overcrowded and expensive the investment moves elsewhere.

For example there is a huge amount of money being invested in Poland right now on roads and railways. Already many companies are basing their manufacturing and distribution there and wages are rising. The workers will switch there just as the Auf Wiedersen Pet builders went to Germany in the 70s/80s.

For this to work France and other countries also need to open their borders and countries like Bulgaria and Romania need to keep an eye on who they are letting out.

The Euro will only work when there is free movement of labour to help balance the economic cycles of each country

As we have god knows how many now, but certainly 1 in 8 are workers - approx 3.5 million, one could hazard a guess at a conservative 5-6 million total. then the new 10 million or so foreign workers brought in to notch up the 70 will mean around 15-16+ million immigrants or progeny of. Do you think the indigenous population will get a say in future immigration policy at this point in time?
People are just doing their own interest just as much as big corporations did. Or do you think only the population benefit of the free movement? (quite naive to think that). Or is it the big corporations who have available cheap labour for their manufacturing needs? Who do you think really decided in the european parliament? Now you might just close an eye on that but the downside to these economical benefit is to have people who will take advantage of the more stable economies. You want your car to be 50% cheaper? Then you must allow free movement of capital and people in EU and open a factory in Romania or Poland. Else you would have to do it in your own country paying an average salary of 40k to each employee and buying a utility car for 20k. I think in return of that you should accept that some people (the ones at the bottom lines, the ones who really need the benefits) will try to get something out of it too.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

            Our People

The government are running the economy, and the country for that matter, just like those people who run their lives robbing Peter to pay Paul and who are roundly slated by the very same hypocrites for doing so. If all the predications of 30-40 years come to fruition hadn’t we better look after ourselves and adopt the approach of b0ll0x to the rest of the world?

We have sacrificed our means of being self sufficient in the future for a quick fix now. We continue on digging our own future hole for a few bob and a few more comfy years. It will be too late when we are 70m and at the mercy of globalisation, we are an island and when the transport pinch begins don’t you think we will pay for that? We simply must stop this craziness and get a reality check.

If we had not had this government and their slack policies re immigration we would have had no more than a few hundred thousand more from 10 years ago, not the 3 million and be doomed to get another million every 2 years or so. A larger proportion of patriotic people would be here and continuing the reduction in the population by low breeding rates, assisted by emigration of those seeking something else. The population would have a common cause instead of many divisive ones based on disparate cultures and allegiances.

We should not be considering new building programs we should be tearing them down and instead of supporting foreign lands be looking after our own interests in the medium-long term. We should not be supporting useless research into the myth that is global warming and address the fuel shortage by investing in alternative technologies.

This is my manifesto for the next 10 years. Stop almost all (keep only the top 10% or so) immigration, turf out any non Brits when their work visas expire, get our troops out of other lands, stop aid to other countries, support our agriculture and meat farmers, invest in new fuel science, tax incentives for save fuel initiatives, stop road expansion programs, invest in public transport, give incentives to companies for working from home initiatives, stop unnecessary education prolongation programs, get them working with their hands, stop free handouts to long-term layabouts, discriminate in favour of our own people as is quite natural with ones progeny for instance.

I hear this very day that the government plan to almost criminalise our youth for not attending sixth form or not taking a job. Look if there were the jobs many more would take them, but the Poles et al have got them all. I fink we established this last week. This is false economy replacing defective ‘units’ with functioning ones when a few tweaks to the circuitry would do the job.

And to the Tory candidate, well we are encouraged to have a say, then we’re not, we are, we’re not, we are, we do, you’re sacked., you didn’t believe us when we said you are did you; you nasty racist bigot?

How does one side of an arguement become debate yet the opposing view becomes hysteria ?
