Just how young are you? Atkins - I didn't manage more than a week of this, and I thought I was a card-carrying carnivore.

BTW: Slimfast bars? What, you don't have to drink the filthy shakes anymore? The shakes were the pits - they tasted like something Lucifer Box is accused of using in his recipies.

Yeah there are 5 types of "meals" now: -
      • shakes - in numerous flavours
      • smoothies
      • Cereal bars - coated in either milk chocolate, white chocolate or yogurt. Gorgeous!
      • Soup - minging! Dont even go near it!
      • Pasta - never had any yet, but it's meant to be aweful.

Simple: try some for yourself when I make the next batch.

They're really nice!! Especially if you have a sweet tooth.

Chocolate Crunch and Fruits Of The Forrest are the nicest

Let me know how you get on

I'm 43 and I tried it when I was 17 on it's first iteration! I did the 'healthy' version recommended by Vogue at the time - low fat and low card.

SA - my kidney problems with Atkins revolved in them failing to work properly so failing to get rid of toxins and heading merrily towards renal failure - symptoms included pain so bad I couldn't actually move, acute headache so bad I couldn't actually see and problems passing water. On Slimfast I spotted the symptoms earlier so headache and idney pain were never so bad. Some of teh atkins books talk positively about ketosis symptoms - I think not!!

SD - am perfectly happy with concept of getting carbs from unrefined products - potatoes, rice etc ... but steak and salad don't have any of those apart from maybe a teeny bit in radishes or the minute amount in lettuce!!

                    Ah bless you

                    That sounds awful!!

And not just the 43 bit (tee hee - couldn't resist)

Do you have to keep a constant check on what you're eating then? Or have you pretty much cracked it by now?

May she's eating too many carbs now to compensate, hence the wind!
