    Trump's legacy

Assuming Mr Titanic is alive/vaguely compos mentis for 3 more years.

Made America great again? Financial armageddon? Literally armageddon?

NB. probably best not to say anything negative about him if you have any plans to visit the US

He's succeeded in destroying any and every bit of the concept that leaders should show statesmanship and decorum.
He has shown (but not for the first time in history) what happens when people elect a con man.
I had hoped that over my lifetime people would stop allowing the world to be run by crazy nasty old men - but that hasn't happened and is looking more unlikely.

He's just as much of a bully as Putin, that's why he likes him so much. I think he aspires to be him.

It comes to something when China tells Trump off for not following international law.

And did you see that letter he sent to Norway? It reads like some kid writing to Father Christmas to complain about not getting the PlayStation he wanted for Christmas.

I don't know what his legacy will be. A third world war, I suspect.

I am not an expert in geopolitics but my concern is that the US has realised if they don't take what they want now then China and Russia will.

Donald doesn't understand that that Greenland is already defended - in part by the US! He wants the mineral rights.

Denmark provides Greenland's defence. Denmark is a member of NATO. Article 5 means if a member of NATO is attacked, it's considered an attack on all NATO members, and triggers a mutual defence obligation.

That means if the US invade Greenland, the US is obliged to defend Greenland against the invading force.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

They don't want Greenland for defensive purposes as they already have that. They want it for exploitation purposes and defence is an excuse.

I don't get the Russia thing. If Trump had any balls Putin would already be history and Russia is an economic minnow with a severely depleted ability to wage war. They can be trouble makers but war mongers only in their own heads! China on the other hand is looking forward to being the only super power left standing and will take back all they lost to Russia in the past. We're witnessing the end of one of the shortest lived empires in history (not really an empire but they thought America was the world)

He wants out of his NATO commitments, so he's creating a rift so he can blame everyone else when he pulls out.

A bit like grabbing them by the pussy then?

Just askin' for a friend, like. .

We won't mention the radioactive tulipe that Septic Land has scattered over Greenland or Camp Century and the radioactive tulipe that's emerging from the glacier or the lost thermonuclear weapon that they incompetently droped through the ice and couldn't find.

And I'd forgotten about the glories of Project Iceworm: digging tunnels in the ice so the septic lunes could put ICBMs in there & nuke the Reds.

Not that nuking the Reds was A Bad Idea, but the time to do it was before the Reds had nukes of their own.

If he's so scared of Russia that he's prepared to scupper NATO why is he inviting Putin to join his so called 'Peace Council for Gaza'? At least Bliar will be in good company

Next week’s news: Trump writes to King Charles, if you don’t give me a knighthood for letting your county off with only 10% tariffs, then don’t expect red-carpet treatment, find your own hotel
