Word is it's a Mirai-based botnet running mostly on compromised cameras, so if you've got a cheap webcam or security camera connected to the Internet you may be a part of this great work!

Worth noting that Twitter got hit because there was an important part of their network infrastructure that they'd left exposed for no reason at all, but I suppose these things happen when you fire all the smart people

DDoS usually involves hijacking compromised devices wherever they are, so if the IP addresses were all in Ukraine (which I very much doubt) it could be orchestrated by any organisation/nation with a modicum of technical skill. Also, Anonymous claimed responsibility so I don't think they would have done it in a way that Ukraine would be implicated.Originally posted by WTFH View Post
