    I agree that the war needs to end. After 3 years, it's going nowhere*, and just resulting in loss of life.

    What I don't like is rewarding Russia/Putin for aggression. At some point he might try grabbing a piece of another former Soviet state. Even them being in NATO doesn't seem to be the security assurance it once was. And I'm sure other potential aggressors around the world are watching with keen interest (China/Taiwan).

    The only slight consolation is that Russia has paid a very high price for this foray. Militarily they are diminished, and the economy is down the toilet.

    * if anything, Ukraine are slowly losing

        I agree it feels unfair but if Europe had stopped buying Russian Gas then their economy would be round the U-bend and Putin would be after peace.

          Nop. Russian gas and oil is sold to China and India. India re-exports it to the rest of the world including the UK. All that happens is we get Russian Oil and LPG via India at a higher cost.
