No surprises there… a new government was always going to have to do unpopular things

And the media and other rabble rousers were always going to drum up noise about them

What really matters is where we are in 3 or so years time

Almost certainly not in a good place. There's "unpopular" and there's "downright counterproductive".

Labour are saying lots of things, but doing very little other than making things as difficult for the economy as they can. No point going on about "growing the economy" if all you do is close it down. Even Starmer's droning yesterday was full of aspirations but no plans for how to achieve them other than a set of frankly unattainable targets.

They need to stop blaming everyone else and find their mojo, or the rabble rousing will only get worse.

From memory its the first time the government have lost against a year old party.

                YMMV of course.

One wonders how far they can fall in the next few years, so far its like plummeting lemmings.
