…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore -
Surely you mean - Shock MP actually has some business experience.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much. -
Come on, he's a media personality. Of course he has a stupid income from his various side ventures. But as we have seen with other media luvvies like Huw and the sainted Gary, such income is no guarantee of worth.
I also believe several other politicians, of rather greater import than Farage, are millionaires in their own right.Blog? What blog...?Comment

* MP has done other jobs in the past, and that experience helps them now.
* MP is continuing to do other jobs while also being an MP.
Think about the discussions we've seen in this forum, where someone asks "Can I do 2 contracts at once?" The general answer is "no", because you'd burn out trying to work 80 hours a week and it's not ethical to skive off on client 1's time while you're doing work for client 2.
The BBC article links to a pdf, and Farage's declarations are on pages 224-227:
240804.pdf (parliament.uk)
* GB News (32 hours/month)
* Cameo (24 hours/month)
* Telegraph (16 hours/month)
* Meta (28 hours)
* X (28 hours)
* AZ Liberty (8 hours)
The first 3 items add up to 72 hours/month. The next 2 don't say monthly, but I assume he's continuing to post on Facebook/Twitter, so that's another 56 hours. The last item looks like a one-off (speaking engagement in the USA).
128 hours/month is about 30 hours/week. Being an MP is supposedly a full-time job, so do you think he's putting in the hours there, or letting it slide in favour of the jobs that pay more money?
Ultimately, that's going to be an issue for the people of Clacton to decide.Comment
