The Israelis could perfectly legitimately respond to any rocket fire with overwhelming return fire and be well within the Geneva Convention. They aren't the ones breaking international law.

If you bother to read the history of the conflict the Israelis have shown massive restraint. The US would have bombed them back to the stone age years ago.
