The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has applied for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas's leader in Gaza for war crimes.

Karim Khan KC said there were reasonable grounds to believe that both men bore criminal responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity from at least 7 October 2023.

Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas's political leader Ismail Haniyeh, its military chief Mohammed Deif are also wanted for arrest.

The ICC, based in The Hague, has been investigating Israel's actions in the occupied territories for the past three years - and more recently the actions of Hamas as well.
Mr Netanyahu recently called the prospect of senior Israel figures joining the ICC's wanted list "an outrage of historic proportions".

Of the 30-40,000 allegedly killed half are combatants. If it were the Americans they would have killed most of the friendlies.

Maybe they can look at all the countries mascaraing millions of their own citizens? When does Zelenski get locked up?

Do you have any proof (other than via Hamas friendly sources)? Normally whatever Hamas say is later proven to be a massive lie worthy of Goebbels.

Would that be the food aid that Hamas steal at gunpoint then resell? Israel has taken over the Rafah checkpoint to stop this, strangely Egypt hasn't opened their side to let aid in. Israel claim very publicly they have let through more food than needed this has not been disputed by most western governments. The UN however seem to have drunk the Hamas Kool Aid.

Noticeably the US have installed a pier for aid, I suspect Hamas will shell it and claim it was Israel its their normal lie. If they manage not to, lets hope the US managing it will convince Hamas to behave or they will piss off the US and get a bit of Shock & awe.

Sadly in war civilians die, if at any time the Palestinians want peace they can get the proscribed terrorist organisation they elected that have been shelling Israeli women and children for decades (Hamas if you are having difficulty) to surrender to the UN or similar and release the few surviving hostages that they haven't chopped their head off, starved, murdered or gang raped to death. Israel would almost certainly withdraw and assist with rebuilding.

If your neighbour (Gaza) shelled you daily most countries would just follow the trajectory back and return fire with some bigger ordnance, this is well within the capability of the IDF, Israel shoot it out of the sky to save causalities among Gaza citizens and send warnings to get out of the building before retaliating, they have been doing this for decades.

The average age in Gaza is 15, many of who have been brainwashed to hate Jews and Israel then had a gun pushed in their hand this seems common in Muslim countries. There are plenty of documentaries and witness statements confirming this. 60-80% of people in Gaza are children. As proven by in publicly recorded footage Hamas regularly use civilians as human shields or suicide bombers to increase casualty figures.

If Israel had a mind they could emulate the US Army and "bomb them back to the stone age" they haven't done that, about half of the claimed causalities are confirmed as Hamas operatives.

It seems even the IDF agree with the figures. However, the claim that 70% of the causalities are women and children is highly suspect. Of course any innocents death, regardless of age or sex is a terrible thing.
