Well it snot like forcibly resettling jewish occupants from Gaza has worked really has it?

We have a load of loony organisations suggesting similar weird ideas but the Jewish Government isn't.

Not like forcibly evicting people and bulldozing their olive groves to allow settlements to be built, is that what you say? You mean like in the West Bank?

That would be Gaza and the West bank Israel captured when Egypt etc attacked? Then Israel withdrew in the vague hope that peace might be reached? The same Gaza that shells Israeli Citizens daily? The same west bank that hides the Hamas leaders?

The conflict is old and plenty has been done wrong on both sides.

What needs to happen is the 2 million Palestinians need to reject the estimated 30,000 Hamas operatives (its a bit fewer now) and sit down to peace talks. Israel would be happy to join. Sadly it seems the Palestinian's have no appetite for peace.

Ah, OK, if that's your version of events.].

Now, let's compare it to how another country dealt with terrorist attacks.
Did the British Army bomb Ulster in revenge for attacks made by people who were denied jobs based on their religion?
Did the British Press run stories (and convince their readership) that all Catholics supported terrorism and hid terrorists and as such they rejected peace and should suffer the consequences?
Are there still British people today who believe that all Catholics should be treated as probable terrorists?

That and what is happening in the middle East are in no way comparable.

As for your last point, I'm sure there are, especially in NI. And vice versa. Those divisions run deep.

Ok replace NI with South Africa in 1985.

How did that work out in the long run?

                a bit tulip in reality

                https://www.reuters.com/world/africa...20gold%20mines.

It was very successful for UPS manufacturers who had some of their best volume sales there a decade ago because the grid is stuffed, hardly anyone has jobs and people are now given jobs based on being black.

Though its a bit like Gaza, rape is a popular pastime nowadays.

Ira were not 30,000+ strong and sending rocket attacks daily. Gaza & Palestine ruled by a known terrorist organisation invaded with 3000+ terrorists. If the IRA had taken over Stormont castle and murdered 1500 people in Cardiff I suspect the Army would have taken Artillery and destroyed parts of Ireland instead of having defensive compounds in Belfast and supporting the Police or occasionally shooting known terrorists at a distance.

Though they did have tanks on the Falls road and outside Stormont in my lifetime.

Does the hate run deep in NI? Yes but I'm not sure either side was up for decapitating children or gang rape that Palestinians taught in their schools and communities.

Peace in Gaza only requires returning the hostages and Hamas surrendering. If the Israelis let them win they will regroup & try again. The world needs the terrorists to stop and realise like Egypt peace is a better choice.

Not a big fan of Irish terrorists but they weren't like these.

                    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-footage.html

The sister of one of the teen hostages held by Hamas who was seen in horrifying new footage released this week has revealed the heartbreaking final text message she received from her only sibling - just minutes before she was abducted to Gaza.

Sasha Ariev, a 24-year-old neuroscience student, has paused her life and halted her studies to focus on bringing home her younger sister, 19-year-old Karina, with who, she shares a profound 'cosmic-like' bond.

Karina Ariev was seen in the gruesome video released this week, showing Hamas terrorists taunting the five youngest women held hostage in Gaza since Oct. 7. Karina, injured and bloodied, was still wearing her Snoopy pajamas as she was threatened with rape after being snatched from her bed.

maybe they just need a bit of a cuddle and Palestine will become a beacon of understanding?

                      Agreed.

George Bush got the Israelis to redraw the lines and create two states.
Arafat failed to agree to this and Hamas bombed a hotel in Nethanya which killed 30 people having passover dinner and injured 140 - just to de-rail the talks.
Bush gave up saying palestinians are not peace partners.
Clinton did exactly the same in the previous administration after his efforts to make peace.

the best way of making peace in the middle east was the abraham accords where israel signed peace deals with UAE - and were gonna sign with saudi which is why Hamas (Iran) attacked israel butchering kids, elderly, men, women like something out of a medieval movie. And taking hostages.

All Israelis want peace - but unfortunately you cant be an idealist when this Hamas' charter and their school education is kill all Jews.

If only the UN and the world had united & got themselves together to remove Hamas - there would be a strong chance of peace for Israel and Palestinians- rather than partnering with them.

They world 'united' to 'get rid' of ISIS and sadaam when he invaded kuwait - but not when Hamas are killing jews.

                      Terrible situation all over.
