    Scum

    You can call him SCUM!

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics...le-court-rules

Two protesters were “reasonable” in calling Iain Duncan Smith “Tory scum” outside the Conservative party conference, the high court has ruled, in a rejection of an attempt to overturn their acquittal.

Lord Justice Popplewell and Justice Fordham said no fault in law was made by a senior district judge last November in finding Ruth Wood, 52, and Radical Haslam, 30, not guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent.

So Scum isn't insulting? Hell in a handcart time!

Sheesh. These Tory snowflakes. Unable to cope with robust political comment. Just as bad as Labour Scum. But less antisemitic.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

Good film that. Though I did like him in Sexy Beast,
What happens in General, stays in General.

          That does seem odd.

There was the story the other week of Tory MP Bob Stewart, who was found guilty of racism after telling a chap called Sayed Ahmed Alwadaei to “Go away, I hate you. You make a lot of fuss. Go back to Bahrain.”

So could it have been the case that, had the protestors in the Iain Duncan Smith case, instead of calling him "scum" had said to him “Go away, I hate you. You make a lot of fuss. Go back to Chingford.”, that they would similarly have been guilty of an offence?

I haven't read the judgement but I imagine there is a heavy dose of context in this case.

Namely, being outside a political conference, being a politician, being surrounded by police security etc.

It's a little different to a politician saying something to a protestor. Stewart was done for racial abuse wasnt he? Im not sure i necessarily agree with that mind, as I think the protestor was a bit harrass-y.

How much time and money was spent on the investigation, paid for by British taxpayers?
Is this what the far right consider an acceptable way to blow money, because they are too daft and too flakey?

IDS should be made to repay all costs.

Bob Stewart wanted someone who was fighting for human rights to “go back to Bahrain” because Bob hated them - why do Tories hate human rights, what’s wrong with wanting people to live without the threat of violence?

Perhaps if the protestor had said “go back to Germany, you Saxon scum”, rather than Chingford, that might have been a different matter.
If all those of Saxon descent went back to Saxony, and all those from Norman descent went back to France, and all those from Viking descent went back to Scandinavia, then the British isles would just be Picts and Celts.

Do you think IDS has control over the CPS and DPP? You and Mavolio really should just get a hotel room and bang out your frustrations.
