I sympathise with Israel but this won't help.
If the Israeli's do as I suspect they will do and lay waste to Gaza then there will never be peace in the Middle East.

With regards to Hamas, they know there's only one way out of this and you may find that they accept their fate cheerfully, better to die than to live in chains!

As a point of note, the "occupier" of Gaza is Hamas. They won the Gaza war in 2007 and booted Fatah out. Not been an election since. The anti-semites keep forgetting that.

Hamas and Fatah do not even co-operate. Apart from the israeli victims It is those families in Gaza I feel so sorry for who are just collateral damage to Hamas ideology.
Israel did allow workers to go across the border to earn higher wages in Israel.
But this has to be one of the biggest intelligence failures in history.

Tin foil hat. The festival was a one day event held in a vulnerable position and was targeted. As we know that Iran had a big involvement in this I do wonder if it will come out that bad actors were behind the event. Although apparently IDF quick reaction force did make it to the festival during the massacre but were so overrun with panicking civilians that they couldn't actively engage. This is something we have had to train our counter terror police to do, ignore any dead or injured and keep moving towards the threat, so it's seemingly counter intuitive.

Equally tin foil hat, it's not behind the possibility that Israel were aware of the attack but allowed it to happen for their own benefit.

According to a chap on PM, exactly this.

So nice to see all those Palestinian flags being flown in this country.

                Not.

As Sadat said in 1973 when asked "Why did you stop?": "They've got nukes".

                Never again.

more stuff of interest that isn't widely known.

Imam of Peace on X: "The Palestinian Cause is not an Arab Cause. Palestinians are not Arabs. They are Arabized, and they don’t descend from any Arabic tribe. If some do descend from Arabic tribes, then they are indigenous to Arabia - not Judea. Egyptians are also not Arabs, they are Arabized…" / X (twitter.com)

The Palestinian Cause is not an Arab Cause. Palestinians are not Arabs. They are Arabized, and they don’t descend from any Arabic tribe. If some do descend from Arabic tribes, then they are indigenous to Arabia - not Judea. Egyptians are also not Arabs, they are Arabized Africans. Breaking News: Egypt is in Africa. Jordan is also not an Arab state or nation, and King Abdullah is not Jordanian, as he descends from the Hashemite lineage to the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), making him Arabian. He is not indigenous to Judea either. We are dealing with a widespread identity crisis, and a bunch of corrupt billionaires hiding in Qatar. God’s Prophets are indigenous to Judea - that includes Solomon, Daniel, David and Moses - and their nations: The Jewish people.
I was in an Arabic country over the weekend. Not a single Palestine flag. No 'free Palestine' demos. It seems to be a western ideology that the Palestinians should be saved. And the majority of those westerners are left-wing, middle class and white, or poor Pakistani (also not Arabs).

And as for holy war, the big holy war is between Sunni and Shia. Interesting that Iran who funds Hamas and Hezbollah are mostly Shia, and Palestinians are mostly Sunni. Convenient to let them be killed when they are only one one step above the Jews who they are fighting.

This is why Saudi Arabia, Dubai etc. have been seeking to normalising relationships with Israel. They recognise Iran as the bigger threat.

If the West had ignored Putin's invasion of Ukraine, then Iran would have attacked Israel, and China would have attacked Taiwan. As it is, Iran is now fighting a proxy war. And the Palestinians are bearing the brunt.

Enemy of my enemy is my friend for now. Iran fear Israel and Saudi Arabia far more than it fears Palestinian Sunnis. Oddly enough, both Israel and SA were literally on the verge of signing a 'peace' treaty when the attacks happened...
