What are people's preferred job sights?

I took the plunge and went permie 4 months ago after 25+ years of contracting, only for the company to issue mass redundancies today, including me.

So now I'm looking for another role. I've found most of my work in recent years by chance or by network contacts, so I'm probably well out of touch with the job sites or other methods of finding work.

I know about Jobserve and LinkedIn Jobs. What other methods / sites do folks use nowadays to find work? I'll be going back to contracting if possible but will also be looking at perm roles.

(I did try the search function but it didn't help much)

Sounds like you failed to perform effective due diligence. How could a company you joined 4 months ago have its circumstances change so drastically in such a short time? INSYCOTBAP

Sad to hear. Unfortunately plenty of companies are slowly sliding towards disaster and people don't realise.

Indeed is the largest. Lots of good jobs on there but the shopping list specs are a bit excessive. Unless you actually invented Python you don't get a look in. Technojobs is quite good.

I find Linkedin the most successful. I get a lot of embedded / associated agents calling me for interview.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

By which I assume you mean Business / Contracts - that's actually helpful advice, thank you. Mea culpa, I guess I don't spend enough of my life lurking on these forums.

Linked In and CV Library only two worth bothering with IMHO. Sorry to hear you are facing redundancy after such a short time, I imagine you also didn't even make probation. The good news is as a long term former contractor you are likely very attractive to clients looking for contractors. It's time to come home.

When sorting out your CV, just write the job up as if it was a four month gig.
