Oh, so when you talk about people setting parks on fire you're actually talking about gorse-fires, which aren't linked to disposable BBQs? BBQs are in the news specifically due to fires linked to the heat-wave, lazy people taking them to the park. Don't twist the story to fit your own desire to ban them for things they're not linked to.
I live in the country and there are fires every summer from local kids sneaking into the woods to cause trouble. None of them are due to BBQs. Arson is more of a problem than thick BBQ users.
Not everyone has access to a garden where I live. So while the parks and common land around me have clear no lighting BBQs and camp fires bylaws people still use disposable BBQs in them as the areas are impossible to police 24 hours a day."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

How can Wales run out of water?
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/u...-head-24710539
Thames Water is planning to announce a hosepipe ban “in the coming weeks” in the face of the long-term forecast of dry weather and hot temperatures this week, the company said. It will be the fourth in the UK this summer.
Three water companies – Southern Water, Welsh Water (in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire) and South East Water – have already announced hosepipe bans.
Southern Water’s restrictions for customers in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight started last week and South East Water’s ban for Kent and Sussex comes into force on Friday. Welsh Water is implementing a hosepipe ban from 8am on August 19. DOOOMED!
https://metro.co.uk/2022/08/11/map-s...wave-17164636/
A terrifying map shows how swathes of Britain are being baked into a Sahara-like desert – with more than 60% of Europe now under drought warnings as wildfires rage.
The nation’s scorched landscape in the South East has also been laid bare on shocking aerial imagery being shared among stunned weather and climate change watchers.
As the country endures its driest July since 1935 and record-breaking temperatures of 40°C, miles of scorched fields and trees could also be seen in photographs taken above East Midlands Airport – as concerns grow over crop supplies.
The Met Office has raised its Fire Severity Index to its highest level of exceptional today for scorched southern England, with Wales on amber as the heat is forecast to climb to ‘lethally hot’ temperatures of 36°C this weekend.
Satellite imagery shows how England’s once ‘green and pleasant’ land has gone from verdant to arid yellow – and almost black – as the nation roasts under its second record-breaking heatwave of the year.

Firefighters have been battling major wildfires as parts of the country become a ‘tinder box’ due to the extreme weather.
Flames spread at Hollow Ponds in Leytonstone, East London earlier today.
Dramatic photos showed firefighters fighting back against huge flames that had spread over the dry field.
The fire was extinguished shortly before 1pm and had affected 75 square metres of grass.
In Yorkshire, firefighters teamed up with local farmers to battle a similar blaze which had spread through a field in the Aldborough St John area last night.
Around 2,000 square metres were affected.
