Probably, but perhaps not if some of the candidates with little/no experience of scrutiny get through - there's a chance they will wilt, so may as well test it.

I'm not sure. Given the fact we ARE having these debates, it gives people a rare opportunity to take part in a high-level debate in front of the nation (well those who are watching). That's a really valuable experience in itself and has the potential to build some longer-term support.
I would imagine anyone who is planning to stand down would wait until after their time in the spotlight.

I doubt Sue really needs you to white knight for her either.

Sorry if I bruised your ego. Can we get back to the leadership contest now?
I'm sure J-hole will give you a if you need it.

The quote "A week in politics is a long time" was wrong it's actually 24 hours.

What an imagination you have. Let's wind back to who crashed into who's conversation because they couldn't contain their emotions...

Boris never did hardly any debates or interviews so it is good that people get to see the runners and try to "relate" to them - if that is possible.
Interesting to see if Kemi does well when no one knows of her. I reckon less than 1% of the population knew of her before this contest which is amazing really - now that she is '4th in line' to be PM.
Nick Clegg had a massive bounce post a TV debate.

                      I agree with Kemi...

Least she can get a good job with Facebook afterwards.
