Today's bands are really, really mediocre by comparison and plain boring both on and off stage and I'm convinced it's not down to me catching middle aged 'fogey flu' either because I grew up in the 70s.

There are loads of great bands out there that you'll never see on the Brit awards and that would likely wipe the stage with them.

Once again the Brits show themselves up to be a pile of crap.

I liked Oasis' first two albums but there's no denying that they didn't break any ground, they just wrote great tunes until it got really tired and boring. They run out of ideas other than copying old bands and the test of time is proving them to be quite limited in terms of varying their sound.

It really annoys me that bands like Floyd and Zep haven't been seen fit to get these awards while the likes of Duran Duran and Oasis have

I would never waste my time listening to so called ‘Award Winning’ crap commercial music. Usually an AWARD means nothing more than being absolutely crap!
There are a lot of good bands around. Check this one for progressive rock bands.
