There are loads of great bands out there that you'll never see on the Brit awards and that would likely wipe the stage with them.
Try these links for starters (depending on your taste):-
Gogol Bordello - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQSaYgAp2lw (spot Phil Jupitus in this one wearing his band t-shirt)
dEUS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA_yytxckTo (proof that good music can come out of Belgium)
Wire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZchU9Msu_Zw (yes they're still going from the 70s and can still blow the younguns out of the water) -
Sorry, they do nothing for me. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top etc have at least some talent and staying power.Comment

Fall Out Boy:
She says she's no good with words but I'm worse
Barely stuttered out
"A joke of a romantic" or stuck to my tongue
Weighed down with words too over-dramatic
Tonight it's "it can't get much worse"
Vs. "no one should ever feel like.."
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by
[Whispered:] We're going into D-Minor
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me
You always fold just before you're found out
Drink up its last call
Last resort
But only the first mistake and I...
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by
Why don't you show me the little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress, love
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me
Why don't you show me the little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress (mattress, mattress)
I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead
Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love)
Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love)
Dance this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me
Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance

Once again the Brits show themselves up to be a pile of crap.
I liked Oasis' first two albums but there's no denying that they didn't break any ground, they just wrote great tunes until it got really tired and boring. They run out of ideas other than copying old bands and the test of time is proving them to be quite limited in terms of varying their sound.
It really annoys me that bands like Floyd and Zep haven't been seen fit to get these awards while the likes of Duran Duran and Oasis haveComment

I would never waste my time listening to so called ‘Award Winning’ crap commercial music. Usually an AWARD means nothing more than being absolutely crap!
There are a lot of good bands around. Check this one for progressive rock bands.

Oasis are sh1t!Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment
