How are the plebs watching movies?

I was at the pub today, two pints were £9 so one round = Prime monthly 3 pints= Netflix montyhly.

an iPhone is £30-40 a month so the two above are cheap.

I have a £90 Nokia most people in reduced circumstances I know have iPhones.

So who is at fault? Is the society or the individual? You can’t blame the individual without looking at what society is doing.

Regular people share Netflix and other streaming subscriptions. (Cheapest plan on Netflix is £5.99 for single screen)

Oh and DVD players are cheap. A quick Google reveals Argos sells one for £15.

'Regular' people, really? You really do have a chip on your shoulder and a sense of superiority that stands you out as not a nice person.

We're all regular people bud, being a contractor doesn't make you special ... you're 'special' irrespective of being a contractor.

You can also use charity shops as DVD rentals.

Go in there, pay £1-2 for a DVD, watch it, take it back to them with their price still on it. You get to watch a film and donate to a charity, and they get it back to sell again

No, buy it off them
Then donate it back to them. If you leave the price on, then it saves them having to stick a new label on it.

Sounds a good idea to me. You could do the same with books except a)2nd hand books are quite pricey b)who would ever give up their books?
