We can't get any lateral flows for love nor money. Means we don't know when we can come out of lockdown
Southern have used the lack of staff as an excuse not to run services from their hub London Victoria until 10 January - https://www.southernrailway.com/trav...ervice-updatesLeave a comment:

geez, you lot of whining chunts STILL batting on? as if you make a difference to anything.
In The Times today was an article concerning the results of the first analysis of the South African omicron statistics. They say it suggests there is a decoupling of fatality rates and infection rates, which, if true, means that Omicron can be allowed to rip through the population without overwhelming healthcare.Leave a comment:

Only to be expected presumably, because didn't the original (pre-booster) vaccines target primarily Delta?Originally posted by Fraidycat View Post
Good news, Omicron displacing delta. Only about 5% of cases in the UK are now delta and that number is falling everyday.

Does this mean Delta is falling, or is it just that Omicron is rising? I haven't seen any analysis on this, but I am interested to know if Omicron actually can replace delta, or if the two will just carry on side by side? Since Delta doesn't seem to offer much protection against Omicron, why do we assume that the reverse is true? Not to put a downer on things, but what if Omicron burns itself out and we are back where we started with Delta?Originally posted by Fraidycat View Post
