So the sun did shine out of Uranus

    https://metro.co.uk/2021/11/04/uranu...look-15544205/

If you’ve ever wanted to get a really good look at Uranus, you just missed it. That’s because the planet (seventh from the sun, get your mind out of the gutter) reached its peak brightness for the year on November 4. The gassy and unique alien world reached the closest point to Earth in its orbit and hit what is called ‘opposition’. This means, from the vantage point of Earth, it will be directly opposite the sun and reflecting the most light possible.

I edited it to be past tense but then noticed the UK Astronomy tweet was dated 4 November but referring to tomorrow. So maybe Uranus will glow this evening?

You should be able to see it tonight.
Rising in the ENE around 4.30pm
By 6.45pm it will be about 20o above the horizon due East
11.45pm is the peak at 54o due South
Setting around 7am on Saturday WNW

Look between Hamas (brightest star in Aries) and Menkar (brightest in Cetus). Uranus should be about half way between the two.

Shame it's going to be cloudy in Glasgow.

You haven't pulled if you are looking at your own Uranus!
