              When I had spinal surgery on my neck I had an impressive scar across my throat. That's what I told people. Or that I cut myself shaving. With a machete.

                      I fell on a metal gate-post doing DofE as a teen. No real injury, just a bad graze, but it left a lovely long scar over my heart. Still there decades later, no idea why.
