Just caught up on thread, and will give this a viewing.
Growing up as a teen in the early 80's, you didn't need to be in the gay scene to be impacted by AIDs. Every Saturday night I went out I'd get a lecture off my Dad about the risks of getting AIDs (I think he thought every girl in Dudley nightclubs were infected!). There was such a paranoia though even with the straight teens, can only imagine what was going on within the gay community.
To follow on with some of the other conversations on here .... since Mrs W passed away in December I've noticed how 'popular' I am with the ladies. Mostly trying to mother me, but a couple have made passes .... I did read that widowers can have that kind of effect but it's a bit strange.I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter manComment
