Just finished watching the series. Really enjoyed it so thanks for the recommendation, but feck that was hard to watch. Brought flashbacks to sitting with Mrs W for her last month whilst she was dying in bed.

Awww , but I did warn you it was triggering!

It was well filmed, and I assume very close to what happened/was happening at the time.

They put a lot of effort into making it accurate. In fact in my opinion it is more documentary than drama. It's a documentary that uses drama to convey the emotions involved, the latter being essential to understanding the full story of what happened during those grim years of the AIDS crisis. A documentary and historical record.
