Anyway, with whoever the OP was, I'm sure it won't take us too long to have voluntarily taken on his or her right to be forgotten.

Er... that doesn't sound quite right TBHOriginally posted by TheGreenBastard View PostI believe posts qualify as "personal data" so I suspect retaining them on requesting deletion of personal data is an infringement of GDPR, even if usernames are randomized.
Would you like to quote the source of that?Comment

Not so sure about that. Even it is personal data, which I'm not sure it is, a request to have the data deleted does not always have to be followed.Originally posted by TheGreenBastard View PostI believe posts qualify as "personal data" so I suspect retaining them on requesting deletion of personal data is an infringement of GDPR, even if usernames are randomized.
If the data is still required, then it doesn't need to be deleted. One argument is that it's required for the context of the thread.
Try asking a car insurance company to delete your data after you've had an accident. Ain't gonna happen.See You Next TuesdayComment

I am currently finding certain parts of this forum crossing the very fine line that exists between banter and bullying. Certain parts of this forum have become toxic and need urgent reform even publically giving my name and thereby infringing GDPR.
Quick question...
Since you were so keen to be deleted/forgotten, why have you decided to create a new user and come back with the same attitude etc?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
