Why do they have to introduce that legislation - even public sector companies are not forced to put external contractors on the payroll.

"The self-employed pay 9% national insurance contributions (NICs) on their earnings above £8,060, compared with 12% for employees; and company owners can also pay themselves partly in dividends, which are taxed more lightly than income.

Torsten Bell, director of the Resolution thinktank, said: “There is a straightforward fairness question about whether that difference is justified.”"

A puty 1% reduction in corp tax in April, so I guess it would only be fair to hike dividend rates by a few percentages. I wonder if they would eventually dare to have dividend tax rates higher than income tax bands, guess under Labour it won't be a problem.

"Have spent today putting the final touches to my first Budget - building a stronger, fairer, better Britain, outside the EU #SpringBudget"

Ok, it's going to be bloodbath tomorrow.

Philip Hammond braces Britain for tax rises and spending cuts in his first Budget

"It comes after the Institute for Fiscal Studies, the economic forecaster, warned earlier this month that the amount of tax paid in the UK is poised to reach the highest level in 30 years."

        Pro-business Tory Scumvernment my arse.

Budget is going to be once a year in Autumn, and in Spring they will have some kind of Spring Budget Update - welcome to Tory Scum.

I'm just nipping out for some lube, and a new belt to bite on. I can sense some fairness coming my way.

Maybe wearing one of these may help when the budget is on?

So the slow slide of Sterling continues.

Exports not going up. The inflection point seems to have been reached, where the UK economy slowly but surely goes down the toilet.
