                If that's all he announces, then an extra £225 tax a year is no hardship. Its obvious to see why he's taken this approach - how many people have we had on here talking about using alphabet shares so they can pay their spouses who were in full time employment £5k a year to take advantage of the allowance? (not just on here, I've seen accountants on other forums recommending this approach too).
